What we keep, and what we never see.
Plain words, no surprises. Questions go to [email protected].

The short version
- This website sets no cookies, runs no analytics and loads nothing from other companies.
- Your sign-ins to other sites stay encrypted on your computer and never reach us.
- Your files go straight between your computer and the storage you connect.
- If you sign in to Desko, we keep your desktop's settings so it can follow you, and you can delete them at any time.
This website
desko.space is a set of static pages. Our web server keeps no access log, so it does not record your address or the pages you read. The fonts and pictures come from our own server. There are no cookies, no tracking pixels and no third-party scripts.
The beta list
When you join the beta list we store your email address, the language of the page and the date. We use them for one thing: to tell you when the beta opens. We do not share them and we do not send newsletters. The list is deleted at the latest 400 days after you join. Every email we send to it has a link that removes you in one click.
To limit abuse, the server counts sign-ups per connection for a short time in memory; it does not store your address. To remove your email, write to [email protected] from that address and we delete it.
What stays on your computer
The Desko app keeps the sessions that sites give you after you sign in (cookies and site data), encrypted with your computer's own key. They never sync and never reach us. Desko never stores the passwords you type into sites.
Also kept only on your computer: the keys that let Desko reach your cloud storage and connected tools, your own AI key, browser history, the app lock password, a cache of recent files, and a diagnostic log that leaves out addresses, names and page content.
Your Desko account and sync
An account is optional; Desko works fully without one. If you sign in (with Google, Apple or email), we keep your email address, the sign-in provider's id for you, and the list of your signed-in devices.
To make your desktop follow you, we store its settings: workspaces, apps, folders, layouts and open windows, storage choices (not their keys), your background picture and similar settings. They travel over HTTPS and are stored as documents our server keeps and passes on without reading what is inside. End-to-end encryption is planned.
Storage, tools and AI
When you connect Google Drive, OneDrive or Dropbox, files move directly between your computer and that provider. When you connect tools such as GitHub or Notion, Desko talks to them from your computer. When you ask the Workspace Assistant, your question and what it reads go from your computer straight to the AI provider you chose, under your key and that provider's terms. None of this passes through our server.
The Workspace Library
A template you publish is public (or visible to people with its link) under the publisher name you choose. It holds only the names and settings you see before publishing: never accounts, sign-ins, files, page addresses or ids. You can update or remove it at any time. Reports about templates are kept for review.
Usage data and crash reports
Only if you agree, the app sends usage events (which feature was used, never addresses or content) and crash reports with personal details removed. You can change your answer in Settings at any time. Feedback you send from the app reaches us with what you wrote in it.
Deleting your data
Delete your account in Settings and everything we keep for it is erased from our server: your settings, devices, waitlist entry, linked feedback and published templates. You can also wipe the app's data from your computer. For anything else, or a copy of what we hold, write to [email protected].
Changes and contact
If this page changes in a way that matters, we will say so in the app before it applies. Desko runs Desko. Questions: [email protected].
